Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

Planned, designed, developed and maintained the domains owned by Mountain Xpress including mountainx.com and bestofwnc.com. Worked hands on, daily, with a variety of modern web technologies including but not limited to Wordpress, Bootstrap, LESS CSS, PHP, jQuery, Javascript, HTML, Google Analytics as well as custom theme and plugin development for Wordpress. Work with design department to create advertisement units for web and print using the Adobe suite. Provide general technical and website support for in-house staff members and provide training for our Content Management System. The new mountainx.com website was recently voted the top news website in North Carolina by the NCPA.

Web Portals Developer

Responsible for the development and configuration of client SaaS product installs and web portals using standard web technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript). Creation of design prototypes including graphic design, site navigation and layout of content. Developed and maintained over one thousand web portals, including client intranets, career sites and onboarding portals. Responsible for training new hires and providing guidance in regards to best practices within the proprietary CMS.
